Post-Trip in Boston!
ending on September 4th

The Mosaic Outdoor Clubs of America Labor Day weekend event will be held this year at Camp Yavneh in Northwood, New Hampshire.

Come take your vacation with us!

This year's Jewish Adventure Getaway is sure to be one of the most memorable in Mosaic history. From a base at beautiful Camp Yavneh in southern New Hampshire, we'll enjoy the subtle beauty of rolling hills and sparkling lakes that draws tourists from around the world.

Visitors to the area have been seeking the heights of peaks like Mount Kearsarge or the cool breezes of Lake Winnipesauke and the Isles of Shoals since the 1850s. Today adventure seekers come to southern New Hampshire for its superb mountain biking, its huge variety of paddling opportunities, and its network of hiking trails that manage to offer great views while winding their way through a diverse forest that has reclaimed the land from nineteenth-century sheep and dairy farms. Close to Boston, and home to New Hampshire's biggest cities, the southern part of the state has a surprisingly large number of wild places that provide homes for moose, otters, bald eagles, loons, and bears.

Our base of operations is an updated and spacious Jewish/Kosher summer camp; Yavneh boasts great amenities and luxurious comfort in a wooded lakefront setting. This year we’ll have plenty of upgraded housing options, a gorgeous waterfront, excellent and plentiful food, and lots of onsite and off-property activities. Old favorites will be offered such as: hiking, biking, paddling, swimming, touring.  There will also be more exotic activities such as human foosball and Israeli dodge ball (a.k.a. gaga) available during this five-day weekend adventure.

The camp is located just 30 miles from the closest airport in Manchester, NH, and is an easy 90-minute drive from Boston’s Logan Airport.  Door-to-door transportation will be provided from both airports, as well as to and from all off-site activities during the weekend.

Your meanderings through beautiful Southern New Hampshire may include: hiking and paddling in Pawtuckaway State Park, sea kayaking and touring in the nearby coastal city of Portsmouth, visiting the Lakes and White Mountains regions, and much more. Our evenings will be filled with song, dance, workshops and more!

For those who wish to extend their adventure, we're offering exciting pre- and post-trip options.

Pre-Trip

Start your vacation a couple days early by enjoying two nights in the gorgeous White Mountains at the AMC's Joe Dodge Lodge in Pinkham Notch. The trip officially kicks off on Tuesday, August 27th at 5:00 p.m., but check out the Pre-Trip page for logistical and transportation details. Participants will have the opportunity to hike the 6200-foot Mount Washington (dress warmly - it's got some of the worst weather on the planet!) or take a guided van tour to the summit. The following day we'll have our choice of hiking, riding a scenic railway, paddling the Saco river, visiting a Mountain Adventure Park, or exploring the town of North Conway before heading to camp. Contact Marsha at Pre-Trip@mosaicoutdoor.org with any questions.

Post-Trip

Not ready to go home on Monday?  Join us for a Post-Trip in Boston. Take in the scenery, terrific food and all the history that this great city has to offer!  Experience Boston Harbor first-hand by boat, bus, or bike; walk the Freedom Trail; and dine in some of the oldest and most renowned restaurants in the area. For additional information on the post-trip, please contact Post-Trip@mosaicoutdoor.org.
